Betty Jane Moore was born on October 17, 1929, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) High School in 1945, and attended Junior College in Modesto, California, where she received her Associate Degree in Dietary Science. Betty married George Moore; he later died. Betty moved to Iowa in 2004 to be near her daughter, Robin.
Betty had an interesting sense of humor and enjoyed going to casinos. She loved her dogs, Ely and Gidget. Betty was especially thankful for the good care she received while she was a resident of Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling, Iowa.
Betty J. Moore died on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling, Iowa, at the age of 81 years, 2 months, and 1 day.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Moore; one son; and two daughters. Survivors include two sons, Frank (Linda) Stevens of Porter, Oklahoma, and Carl Stevens of California; four daughters, Fawn Love of Oregon, Linda Goodman of California, Phyllis Lawlor of California, and Robin Stevens of Earling, Iowa; one sister, Shirley Sortin of California; two grandchildren, David Eller of Texas, and Bonnie Eller of Texas; and other relatives and friends.
