Colin Clark

Colin Joseph Clark was born on May 28, 1985, to David and Jill (Richards) Clark at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. He was the older of two sons. Growing up, Colin loved playing sports, especially soccer and wrestling. He graduated from Harlan High School with the Class of 2004 and went on to attend Iowa Western Community College for two years.

Colin dedicated his professional life to working with children, serving at both Woodward Academy and Boys Town, where he made a meaningful difference in the lives of the young people he mentored and supported.

On September 15, 2011, Colin was united in marriage to Shelbi Coenen. Four children were born to this union: Beckham, Harper, Quinn, and Hudson. Colin loved fishing and camping and was a true outdoorsman at heart. He especially cherished time spent at soccer games, proudly watching his children play.

Colin passed away from cancer on February 11, 2026, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, at the age of 40 years. He was preceded in death by his father, David Clark.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shelbi Clark of Harlan; his four children, Beckham, Harper, Quinn, and Hudson; his mother, Jill Clark of Harlan; his nephew, Jamison; and many friends.
