Jeffrey Lee Herman Cadwell

January 10, 1957 — March 24, 2024

Jeffrey Lee Herman Cadwell was born on January 10, 1957, the son of Samuel and Elsie (Cadwell) Malone at age of five months he went to live with his grandparents, Lloyd and Margaret Cadwell. Jeff was baptized and confirmed at the Manilla United Methodist Church where he was a life long member. Jeff attended and graduated from Manilla High School with the class of 1975. He then attended college in Emmetsburg for two years.

He was the secretary for the men’s bowling league at Manilla Bowl for many years. He enjoyed garden tractor pulling and playing pool. In 2002, Jeff’s dream of having his name legally changed to Jeffrey Lee Herman Cadwell came true. 

Jeff passed away surrounded by family on March 24, 2024, at Azria Health Rose Vista in Woodbine at the age of 67 years, two months and 14 days.

Jeff was preceded in death by: Elsie Cadwell, Samuel Malone, Lloyd and Margaret Cadwell, William “Stan” and Dixie Cadwell, Juanita Heyn, Alicia Cadwell, Gretchen Heyn and Jesse Smith. Those left to cherish his memories are: Greg (Sheryl) Cadwell of Greenville, Karen A. Plagman of Irwin, Midge Carter of Defiance, John Heyn of Colorado, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Jeff’s wishes were to be cremated and he will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. on April 13, 2024, at the Astor Cemetery near Manilla, following his burial, the family will then hold a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Manilla Fire Hall. Memorials may be directed to the family.
